Shalom My Friends

What a long strange trek the Lord set for us over the past months!

I guess I should begin with leaving Las Vegas, YEAH! We rolled out about 10:30pm and took I-15 south towards California. It was 105 degrees, no wind and we had no idea of what laid in store for us. Some good some quite strange and always with our Fathers arms around us and laying the stones for us to step on.

We ran out of gas 4 miles from the nearest gas station, but not knowing that as it was very early morning so we called a tow truck to bring gas it only cost $115 for 5 gallons. So now I don’t feel ripped off so bad at the gas station anymore. It was after we got running that we found out we were so close:) then when we went to leave the gas station the battery was dead, we had several people try to help but it just wouldn’t start. So we called a truck mechanic and he charged the battery and we gave him $65 for his services. And the motorhome has 3 batteries( could have jump ourselves which we did do at a later time).

We arrivied at Lake Isabella, CA around noonish and set up our camp. The Lake was clean cool with a mild breeze blowing off of it and it was finally time to exhale. But not for too long as by the 7th of July the lake had turned hot, merky water, and tons of flies.  While at the lake we watched as a wild fire engulfed the top of a mountian on the other side from where we were, at night it looked like a volcano. So anyway we packed up on the 7th of July and headed westward towards the ocean.

We got to Morro Bay, CA very early the next morning about 3 hours before sun up and parked right on the beach and slept till just after sun rise. I woke the guys up and told them to look out at the ocean only to find out we were “soxed-in”(very thick fog) and they thought mom was really silly and the ocean was not right out our door, but it was. We went up to a parking area where we spent the day just walking on the beach and checking out the ocean, the guys sure did have fun as neither of them had ever seen the ocean. And after that night at the beach we went on up the coast until we had to go over to Hwy. 101 due to a very large fire at Big Sur. Since we were not going to be able to drive up Hyw. 1 on the coast heading towards San Fransico Shaun decided to call a friend that was working in the “Bay Area” so we could visit we headed to San Jose. But before we got to Shaun’s friend hotel the RV over heated very quickly (blew the lower radiator hose) in Sunnyvale.

We parked on the side of a small street and began fixing the RV only to run out of daylight so Shaun’s friend came and got us, as we broke down only 1 mile from him and had us stay with him at his hotel, a 4 star place, we took the next day off from everything and went swimming played mini-golf, ate, and watched alittle tv. Then the next day we got up went and got all the parts to fix the RV and we were off and crossed the Golden Gate Bridge just at sundown and off to Northern California we went. We drove for many hours before stopping for the night.

We woke up outside of  Willits, CA with Redwoods surrounding us, it was cool and the air was so very crisp & clean.

So here it is 2011 and there was so much in between then and now I won’t go into details. But I’m back in Wichita where we came from to begin with LOL.

I will try very hard to get caught up on my postings. If anyone wants to know the whole trip the Lord sent us on I will reply in e-mails.

Shalom

Carolyn

I will be back

Shalom My dear friends;

I am sorry to say I will be away from the internet for several weeks but should be up and running by mid-september or so.

We bought an old Motor Home and are setting out to find where THE LORD wants us to be.

We pray for HIS will to be done and to guide us through all we must do.

I will write when I can, but having only a desk top computer it may be few and far between.

Just know that all are prayed for daily and will be missed.

Your Sister in YHVH.

Carolyn

Needing Our Prayers

This gentleman is a friend of Tim McHydes and truly needs our prayers for healing of his Phyical body. Anyone reading this please stop and pray for him as he is a wonderful person and a true searcher of the truth.

As copied from http://forums.escapeallthesethings.com/showthread.php?t=1272  Tim McHydes forums website.

Do you want to be blessed or grow in patience? Here’s an opportunity. Morgan Weaver has requested that I post his contact information in case anyone here would take the time to call him. Here’s his picture:

This man called me early in April and I could not understand him. He called back and this time a nurse explained it was a brain trauma patient who was requesting a free copy of my ebook. I immediately said yes and sent it. He later called back and asked for help on some questions.

Over the past weeks he has called many times and I found if I kept at it I could finally understand his slurred speech. He uses nurses, his father and mother to help communicate with me when they are available. His father told me his story. He is 29 but had a bike accident at age 17, 12 years ago. He had a genius IQ and was set to finish high school early and be a doctor at a young age. Then the accident and he’s been in the care center since.

He’s very bright and searching for the truth on the Bible and already knows a lot and would fit right in here on the forums. Unfortunately he can’t see well or use the computer to type either. He prays for God to heal him and I’ve told him my testimony that this is indeed possible per James 5. I’m trying to get a minister out to pray for him and his healing. In the WCG it was not uncommon for even quadriplegics to be healed. Here’s some articles on this I sent him that unfortunately I doubt anyone has read to him:

I will admit it’s not easy to handle a call from him. But it’s really fulfilling the Gospel. I keep this passage in mind when I know it’s he who has just called me and that it will take patience:

Quote:
Matthew 25:31-46 (ESV) 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

So I encourage people to consider putting into practice what I teach in my book about doing good works and developing real fruits by giving Morgan a call. Please post here when you have and how it went and also that you will pray for his healing. I will post here any developments leading up to his healing, may God be glorified.
